Collection Information: 

Collect serum separator tube or Green No Gel (Lithium Heparin) specimen between 6-10 a.m.    

 

Sample Volume Requirements: 

Centrifuge and aliquot 1.0 mL of serum or plasma into a plastic transport vial. 

 

Minimum Sample Volume: 

0.4 mL of serum/plasma (approximately 0.8 mL of whole blood depending on normal patient hematocrit)
